How much does it cost to install solar panels in Málaga?
The price depends on the size of the installation. For a standard single-family home (3–5 kWp), the cost ranges from €4,000 to €8,000. Larger installations or those with a battery can exceed €10,000. At Energías Lumilec we offer financing from €50/month and manage available grants.
How much can I save on my electricity bill?
With solar energy you can save between 50% and 70% on your electricity bill. In Málaga, with over 3,000 sunshine hours per year, panels generate around 1,500–1,700 kWh per kWp installed. An average family recoups the investment in 6–8 years.
What grants are available in Andalusia in 2026?
In 2026 there are several grants you can combine: income tax deduction of up to 20% of the investment, property tax (IBI) discount in many Málaga municipalities (30–50% for 5 years), and regional subsidies from the Junta de Andalucía.
How long does the installation take?
The physical installation takes 1–2 days. The full process — including preliminary study, design, permits and legalisation — is completed in approximately 4–6 weeks from signing the contract.
What happens to excess solar energy?
Surplus energy is fed into the electricity grid and compensated on your monthly bill through the net metering system. If you prefer not to feed the grid, we can add a storage battery.
Do solar panels need maintenance?
Maintenance is minimal: periodic cleaning (1–2 times a year) and an annual technical inspection are sufficient. Panels come with a 12-year product warranty and a 25–30 year performance warranty.
Do I need a storage battery?
It is not mandatory. However, a battery lets you store surplus daytime energy for use at night, increasing self-consumption up to 90%. The most common batteries in Málaga are BYD, Pylontech and Huawei LUNA2000, from €2,500.
